Navy is the branch of the Russian Armed Forces, armed with destroyers, frigates, missile cruisers, missile air cushion ships, patrol ships, submarines and seaborne aviation. It is the force defending maritime borders of the Russia from external attack. The strategic task of the Navy also includes nuclear deterrence by use of submarines with nuclear missiles:
